LOGGER NT - 37-WAY CONNECTOR + WIFI + GPS OPTION

NT Logger — configurable data acquisition for motorsport

The XAP Technology NT Logger is a data acquisition module designed to centralise, record and process data from a competition vehicle. It supports teams competing in rallying, circuit racing, off-road events and other demanding disciplines. Its adaptable configuration, integrated 8 GB memory and optional GPS, Wi-Fi and performance analysis capabilities provide a solution tailored to each project.

The NT Logger communicates with a wide range of ECUs and CAN devices. XAP can provide predefined configurations or adapt the data table to the vehicle’s requirements. Users can also define their own parameters through the dedicated PC software available as an option.

Selected data is stored in the integrated memory and can then be loaded into the performance analysis software or exported in CSV format. An internal cell protects datasets if the vehicle’s power supply is suddenly interrupted.

Depending on the selected configuration, XAP can equip the NT Logger with a 20 Hz GPS and three accelerometers, real-time Wi-Fi communication, a performance analyser with predictive lap timing, a second CAN bus and a 37-way Autosport connector.

Applications

The NT Logger supports data acquisition projects for rallying, circuit racing and off-road applications.

Key benefits

  • Configurable logging of 1 to 400 channels at rates from 1 to 200 Hz, depending on the data table.
  • Integrated 8 GB memory and CSV data export.
  • Communication with a wide range of ECUs and CAN devices through adapted configurations.
  • IP65 aluminium enclosure and Autosport connectors.
  • Optional 20 Hz GPS, Wi-Fi, performance analysis and interface expansion.

Technical specifications and integration

XAP assists with defining the data table, communications and options to adapt the NT Logger to the vehicle architecture. The system integrator can use CAN, USB, analogue and digital interfaces, with their exact allocation determined by the connector and selected configuration.

Integration

The NT Logger operates from an 8 to 70 V power supply. The main J1 connector includes the power supply, CAN 1, USB, two analogue inputs, two digital inputs and a 5 V output. The optional 37-way J2 connector adds analogue and digital inputs, a second CAN bus, sensor power supplies and serial interfaces. XAP can prepare a specific configuration to simplify integration with the vehicle’s ECU and other devices.
