E-SHIFT 2-98 – The XAP Actuator Developed for the Clio 98 Cup

The E-SHIFT 2-98 is an electric gearshift actuator developed by XAP Technology specifically for the Clio 98 Cup, based on the Clio 4.

Designed to electrically actuate the vehicle's sequential gearbox, the E-SHIFT 2-98 was the predecessor of XAP's current E-SHIFT 2 actuator generation.

Experience gained with the E-SHIFT 2-98 contributed to the development of today's E-SHIFT 2 range.

Its architecture preceded the current screw-mount E-SHIFT 2 without sensor, which is now XAP's solution for new applications requiring this type of mounting.

However, the E-SHIFT 2-98 continues to fulfil an important role by ensuring replacement part availability for vehicles originally equipped with this version.

Still manufactured for existing Clio 98 Cup vehicles

Although a new generation of E-SHIFT 2 actuators is now available, XAP continues to manufacture the E-SHIFT 2-98 as a dedicated replacement part for the Clio 98 Cup (Clio 4).

This continued availability enables owners, racing teams and specialists to replace an existing actuator and keep these vehicles' sequential gearshift systems operational.
