The XAP Technology DASH NT5 is a 5-inch TFT dashboard for motorsport, simulators, test benches and industrial process monitoring. Its sunlight-readable display, configurable pages and data acquisition up to 200 Hz bring essential information together in a compact package. XAP tailors the configuration and simplifies integration through connectivity, GPS, data logging and loom options selected for the project.
The 800 × 480 px TFT screen can organise multiple gauges, graphs and data pages to monitor the parameters required by the application. An ambient light sensor supports day/night operation, while 16 programmable RGB LEDs can be assigned to engine speed, alerts or diagnostics.
DashEditor lets users create an interface from scratch or adapt an existing configuration. Users can tailor pages, alerts and LEDs to their project and selected licence level. Built-in maths and virtual channels can also create calculated information from available signals.
The standard version provides one CAN interface, two analogue inputs, two digital inputs and USB communication. The optional 37-way connector adds a second CAN interface, LIN, RS485, Ethernet and additional inputs. The DASH NT5 can therefore centralise more measurements and may reduce the need for external modules, depending on the system architecture.
Depending on the selected version or options, the DASH NT5 offers a 20 Hz GPS with external antenna, an 8 GB CSV data logger, Performance Analyser, Tripmaster, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also works with rFactor and Assetto Corsa simulators. XAP can supply a start loom to simplify integration into your ecosystem.
XAP offers the DASH NT5 in an IP65 aluminium enclosure. Customers can also purchase the self-supporting electronics alone and design their own enclosure around the boards to meet the mechanical and styling requirements of the project; in this case, the completed enclosure determines the protection rating.
The DASH NT5 communicates with many ECUs through its CAN/DBC configuration. The standard version operates from 8 to 70 V and exchanges data over CAN and USB. XAP can supply a start loom and tailor the configuration to simplify connection to your architecture; the XAP team helps confirm the protocol and loom suited to the selected ECU.
The standard DASH NT5 provides one CAN interface, two analogue inputs and two digital inputs. The digital inputs can be configured as wheel-speed inputs. The optional 37-way J2 connector increases capacity to two CAN interfaces, one LIN interface, one RS485 interface, Ethernet, up to 13 analogue inputs and up to 7 digital inputs. The product also offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options. XAP can supply a start loom or table loom to speed up wiring and testing.
To prepare the installation, XAP helps select the hardware version, loom and GPS, data logging, Performance Analyser or Tripmaster options. The installer can then follow the pinout, power protection and CAN termination requirements defined in the documentation for the selected configuration.

The following tables reproduce the signal names shown in the supplied pinout diagram. J1 is identified as “8STA 2 10-35 PN”. J2 is identified as “8STA 2 14-35 SN”; this 37-way connector is optional. Signal names are retained exactly as shown in the diagram to avoid changing their electrical meaning.
