E-Shift 1 – High-Performance Electromagnetic Sequential Gearbox Actuator

The XAP Technology E-Shift 1 is an electric Push/Pull actuator specifically developed to meet the requirements of sequential gearboxes used in modern motorsport.

Its electromagnetic technology provides a high-performance alternative to conventional pneumatic and hydraulic gearshift systems.

Electromagnetic technology engineered for racing

The E-Shift 1 uses moving-magnet technology with an internal magnetic spring. This architecture provides high Push/Pull force together with the speed and consistency required for competitive gear changes.

Technical specifications include:

  • ±18 mm stroke
  • Up to 500 N starting pushing force
  • Up to 200 N middle pushing force
  • 30 A peak current
  • 9 to 18 V supply voltage
  • Operating temperature up to 100 °C

CAN or wired control

The E-Shift 1 can be controlled through CAN or through dedicated CMD_UP and CMD_DOWN wired commands.

CAN diagnostics are also available, simplifying integration into the vehicle's electronic architecture.

An alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic systems

One of the key benefits of E-Shift technology is the simplification of the gearshift system.

The electromagnetic actuator eliminates many components traditionally associated with pneumatic or hydraulic solutions: no pump, seals, tubes or fluids are required.

This architecture reduces system complexity and maintenance requirements while providing the performance required for intensive motorsport use.

Dedicated to sequential gearboxes

Powerful, fast and designed for low maintenance, the E-Shift 1 provides an electric solution for sequential gearbox actuation.

It is available separately or together with the XAP Powerbox as the E-Shift 1 + Powerbox Kit.
