With the introduction of the KAIROS-E12, XAP Technology takes another step forward in the development of its Motorsport electronics solutions.
Already offering advanced instrumentation, driver interfaces, power distribution systems, wiring harnesses and telemetry, XAP now completes its electronic control portfolio with a programmable Engine Control Unit (ECU).
Designed for engine builders, tuners, vehicle manufacturers and system integrators, the KAIROS-E12 delivers a powerful and versatile engine management solution for racing vehicles, prototypes and engine test benches.
The KAIROS-E12 supports fully sequential engine control for up to 12 cylinders, with 12 injector outputs and 12 smart coil ignition drives.
It incorporates a wide range of advanced engine control strategies, including boost control, Variable Valve Timing (VVT), electronic throttle control (Drive-by-Wire), traction control, launch control, Anti-Lag System, gear shift control and Flex Fuel management.
Its integrated measurement architecture includes two wideband lambda controllers, a 4-bar absolute MAP sensor, a dedicated barometric sensor and a three-axis accelerometer, helping centralize essential engine data for calibration and performance optimization.
The KAIROS-E12 is designed to provide engine calibration professionals with an open and accessible tuning environment.
Calibration is performed using TunerStudio, supplied with a base project, allowing real-time adjustments while the engine is running.
All standard inputs, outputs, measurement capabilities and data logging functions are available without additional activation keys or recurring subscription fees.
Recorded data can be analyzed using MegaLogViewer or exported into formats compatible with professional data analysis software.
The KAIROS-E12 complements the existing XAP Motorsport portfolio:
This complementary portfolio allows vehicle manufacturers and race teams to rely on a single engineering partner when developing a consistent electronics architecture, from engine control to driver interfaces.
The KAIROS-E12 builds on XAP's expertise in electronic engineering, embedded software and manufacturing for demanding environments.
Its power supply architecture and protected output stages are designed to withstand the operating constraints of Motorsport applications.
Designed, assembled and technically supported by XAP Technology in Calvisson, France.
