The XAP CMU is the guardian of your battery. It monitors each cell with high accuracy, ensuring balance, safety, and extended lifespan for your packs, whether for automotive retrofit, electric mobility, or stationary storage.

The CMU-112 monitors and balances up to 12 cells with exceptional metrological accuracy and galvanic isolation. Compact, rugged, and proven in motorsport, it’s the ideal foundation for modular architectures up to 800 V.

Developed from XAP’s motorsport engineering heritage, the CMU-112 brings uncompromising precision and reliability to your battery system. It continuously monitors and balances 12 cells with ±1 mV accuracy, providing 3 kV galvanic isolation between the cell domain, logic, and CAN communication lines. Its modular architecture enables seamless scalability from 48 V to 800 V without hardware changes.

Using passive resistor balancing (≈4.7 Ω / 3 W) controlled by optocoupled MOSFETs, it ensures long-term cell health while maintaining voltage deviation below 25 mV. The onboard microcontroller manages measurement, balancing, communication, and diagnostics with integrated calibration memory and local fault logging.

With advanced protections against ESD, reverse polarity, and open-wire faults, the CMU-112 provides consistent operation even under harsh automotive or industrial environments.
