The XAP Technology Kit Retrofit 205 brings together propulsion, energy storage, charging, battery management, driver display and the mechanical parts required to convert a Peugeot 205 to electric power. Its nominal 60 V architecture combines components designed to operate as a coherent system. XAP provides a vehicle-specific plug-and-play foundation, together with support for configuration, installation and commissioning.
The kit electrifies the Peugeot 205 with the 30 kW XAP LVMX30 motor and the LVC30 inverter. Two battery modules provide a combined nominal energy of 13.7 kWh. The XAP BMU monitors the cells and coordinates communication with the inverter, charger, DASH NTX and the vehicle’s other equipment.
The DASH NTX presents essential driver information on a 4.3-inch TFT display.
Dedicated enclosures protect the battery modules and are designed to meet the project’s sealing and fire-resistance requirements. The solution also includes the mechanical chassis components required to install the complete kit in the Peugeot 205.
XAP brings together the main electrical and mechanical subsystems to reduce the number of adaptations that must be designed separately. Before commissioning, the installer must nevertheless confirm the exact Peugeot 205 version, mounting points, protection devices, liquid-cooling system, wiring, CAN termination and charging strategy.
The two battery modules are intended to be connected in series to form a nominal 59.2 V pack. The XAP BMU uses a BMU + CMU master-slave architecture to monitor the voltage and temperature of each cell, calculate state of charge, state of health and available power, and then control the relays and safety functions.
