MPC 17HP — multi-voltage power distribution up to 250 A

The XAP Technology MPC 17HP is an electrical power distribution module designed for demanding motorsport, e-mobility and embedded applications. It centralises control of 8 to 75 V electrical networks and distributes up to 250 A in total. Integrated protections and soft start across all outputs help system integrators build a compact, configurable architecture tailored to each project.

The MPC 17HP manages several power levels within a single module: four 50 A high-side outputs, six 25 A high-side outputs and seven 7 A high-side outputs. The voltage applied at the input remains the voltage available at the outputs, allowing the module to be integrated into different electrical networks without implying any voltage conversion capability.

XAP combines the MPC 17HP with a central controller, the MPC CMD, to simplify integration into a custom electronic architecture. The module is suitable for motorsport, e-mobility, aeronautics, marine and advanced industrial projects.

Key features

  • Logic and power supply management up to 75 V.
  • Maximum total current of 250 A.
  • 17 high-side outputs across three current levels.
  • Soft start and freewheeling diode protection on every output.
  • Overcurrent, undervoltage and overvoltage protection on every output.

Technical specifications and integration

The MPC 17HP combines power distribution, output protection and communication interfaces in a single module. XAP can support the definition of the electrical architecture and connections. The installer must size wiring and upstream protection for the actual current drawn by each load and validate network compatibility before power-up.

Integration

Connector J7, shown in the supplied pinout, groups the HP, MP and LP outputs, the command power supply and the CAN1 bus.

The MPC 17HP provides PWM control up to 100 Hz and two 50 A half-bridges for stepper motor control. Two LEDs indicate module status. Before installation, the integrator must validate the pinout revision, wire sizes, upstream protection, CAN termination and load compatibility.
