GT RE 1240 COMPETITION STEERING WHEEL - 2 PADDLES - 4 ROTARIES - 8 BUTTONS - WITHOUT QUICK RELEASE

GT-RE steering wheel — configurable controls and display for circuit racing and rallying

The XAP Technology GT-RE steering wheel combines a 33 cm rim, a 4.3-inch display and easy-to-reach controls for teams and manufacturers competing on circuits or in rallies. It brings essential driver information and settings together in one place. DashEditor enables integrators to build a display configuration from scratch or adapt an existing layout to the vehicle’s requirements.

The GT-RE combines two paddles, eight push buttons and four rotary switches. Drivers can therefore organise settings clearly around the functions defined for each project. This layout keeps essential controls around the rim and helps reduce the need for separate control devices in the cockpit.

The eight push buttons provide a clear way to distribute control functions. The central display and ten RPM LEDs give drivers direct access to priority information. With DashEditor, integrators can organise pages, adapt an existing configuration and update the layout as the team’s requirements evolve.

Key benefits

  • 33 cm rim suited to circuit racing and rally applications.
  • Two paddles and four rotary switches bring driver settings together.
  • Eight push buttons centralise essential controls.
  • Four 10-position rotary switches.
  • 4.3-inch display and 10 RPM LEDs.
  • Customisable display using DashEditor, based on a new or existing configuration.

Technical specifications and integration

The GT-RE routes its interfaces through the J1 PT451 07YS 12-10 P50 connector. XAP supports display customisation with DashEditor; integrators can then tailor the connections for the vehicle architecture’s power supply, CAN bus, USB interface and radio signals.

Integration

The pinout below identifies every physical connection on the J1 connector. Before installation, confirm the supply voltage, wiring, protection, CAN termination and bit rate, radio signal characteristics, USB harness, mechanical mounting and compatibility of the connected equipment.
