The XAP Technology GT-N is a screen-free motorsport steering wheel designed for GT cars and projects requiring direct access to essential controls. Its front panel combines eight backlit push buttons, four four-position rotary switches and two paddles. CAN communication and extensive control customisation make it easier to match the vehicle's electronic architecture, the driver's ergonomics and the functions required for each application.
The GT-N brings essential controls together in a 330 mm-wide format. Its paddles and rotary switches use contactless Hall effect technology to minimise mechanical wear and play. XAP can customise the front panel and laser-engrave a logo, image or button labels, helping the driver identify each function immediately.
The steering wheel communicates via CAN 2.0B at a configurable baud rate from 128 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s. It also includes a radio button that can be configured for momentary or latching operation, depending on requirements. XAP can supply a steering wheel loom and adapt the installation to a suitable quick release for the project.
The GT-N integrates into a vehicle's electrical architecture operating from an 8 to 70 V supply. Its connector combines the power supply, CAN bus and an optocoupler that allows the radio to be operated directly.
The steering wheel can also be fitted to a five-point XAP quick release, a SPA Design or Momo quick release, or another compatible model.
