The XAP Technology GTC steering wheel combines a 33 cm rim, a 4.3-inch display and accessible controls for manufacturers and teams competing on circuits or in rallies. Developed notably for Alpine Cup and Alpine Rallye environments, it brings key information and driver settings together. DashEditor allows integrators to build the display configuration from scratch or adapt an existing layout to suit the vehicle.
The GTC combines two paddles, ten push buttons and three rotary selectors. Two selectors provide four positions, while the third provides twelve, allowing the team to distribute settings clearly according to the functions defined for the project. This layout keeps essential controls around the rim and reduces the need for remote controls in the cockpit.
The ten push buttons make it easier to organise driver controls. The central display, ten RPM LEDs and six RGB alarm LEDs give the driver direct access to priority information. With DashEditor, the integrator can organise display pages, adapt an existing configuration and update the layout as the team’s requirements evolve.
The GTC brings its interfaces together on the J1 PT451 07YS 12-10 P50 connector. XAP makes display customisation straightforward with DashEditor, while the integrator can adapt the power supply, CAN and radio connections to the vehicle architecture.
The pinout below identifies every physical connection on connector J1. Before installation, validate the supply voltage, wiring, protection, CAN termination and baud rate, radio signal specifications, USB harness, mechanical mounting and compatibility of all connected equipment.
